I am interested in making wheelchair totes and girls' dresses, but I don't know where I can send them. Do you know of organizations that want these items?

Hi, I just wanted to thank you for spotlighting Firehouse Quilts in your recent newsletter under Sew to Serve. We really appreciate you helping to get the word out about our charity located in Highlands Ranch CO. We donate snuggle quilts to Colorado Fire Depts and the fire fighters give our quilts to children they see on their emergency runs.

I wanted to invite everyone to help support our mission of helping children in crisis by attending our fund-raising quilt show, July 16 (noon - 6p) & 17 (9am-4p), 2010. Admission is only $7 and it allows you to come to both days of the show. Location of the quilt show is Cherry Hills Community Church, 3900 Grace Blvd in Highlands Ranch CO. Much more info is on our website www.firehousequilts.org We hope to see a lot of you at the show!

Several of us came down to LaVeta a few years ago when you were taping some TQS shows and had a great time. It was wonderful to meet Alex and Ricky especially; they made our visit a lot of fun.

Thanks again for all you do!

This is the best website I've ever been to. The charity listings are outstanding and easy to get to. The free stuff is really great. All in all I think I have found a new favorite web page!

I am new to this site. It's a GREAT link to many other charities. Is there one in operation already in Australia?

I'm heading to India again in October and plan to take quilts to the Mother Teresa orphanage in Delhi, in time for the approaching winter. Is anyone already doing this? If not, and you'd like to help just let me know.

This is a nice resource site for serving others. Thank you for helping us give back to those who need a little TLC.

My very favorite sewing effort is sewing quilts, fleece blankets, sand scarves and other appreciated items for:

Soldiers Angels - Sewing Team

You can make a Blanket of Hope for a wounder warrior or a Blanket of Belief for a currently deployed soldier. (Some folks also sew baby blankets for the newborns of deployed soldiers.) The soldiers love their blankets and are profoundly encouraged and touched by the actions of sewing Angels.
